Being home with my kids during the pandemic, I've thought a lot about which pieces of my past -- my nostalgia -- that I want to share with them, too. The idea of "Never Land" popped up when I started writing the lyrics to this song, and I've seen a lot of Peter Pan references pop up in my life since then. My kids came upon "Hook" recently (without any input from me), and the chalk art that they drew on the driveway, which I captured for this song's cover, was the same thing. Coincidence?
